Why turn WebP images into a PDF

WebP is great on websites, but awkward everywhere else: many forms, printers and office tools don’t accept it. A PDF solves several problems at once. It opens on every device, keeps multiple images in order, and is the format most offices, schools and portals ask for.

    Typical uses:

    • saving product photos, receipts or screenshots from websites as one document
    • collecting reference images or a design moodboard in a shareable file
    • printing several web images in one go
    • submitting images to a form that only accepts PDF

    How to use it

    1. Choose your WebP files or drop them on the box above.
    2. Put them in order with the arrows. The list order is the page order.
    3. Choose Same as each image, A4 or US Letter, and optionally a white margin.
    4. Select Create PDF, then download.

    Page size options

    • Same as each image gives each page the exact size of its image, which is ideal for viewing on screen.
    • A4 / US Letter fits each image onto a standard sheet for printing. Landscape images get landscape pages, and small images are centred rather than enlarged, so they stay sharp.

    Smaller files

WebP images are converted to a lossless format inside the PDF, so the PDF can be larger than the WebP files were. If size matters, convert the images with WebP to JPG first and build the PDF with JPG to PDF, which embeds JPG files without re-compressing them.

    Privacy

Images are read and the PDF assembled in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server.

    Mixing image formats

This page takes WebP files. If you also have JPG or PNG images for the same PDF, create separate PDFs with the matching converters and join them with Merge PDF.

    Questions

    Why are my images WebP?

Many websites send pictures as WebP because the files are small. When you save an image from a site, you usually get WebP, even if it looked like a JPG.

    Is transparency kept?

Transparent areas are kept inside the PDF, where viewers show them over the white page.

Can I make a PDF of an animated WebP?

Only the first frame is used, because a PDF page is a still image.

    Is the image quality kept?

Yes. Each image is added losslessly, so the PDF shows exactly what the WebP shows.
