One converter for less common formats
Most conversions people need, such as HEIC to JPG, WebP to PNG and PNG to JPG, have their own dedicated pages on xconverter with tailored settings. This converter is for everything else: uncommon pairs such as ICO to WebP, TGA to PNG, JP2 to TIFF, AVIF to BMP or RAW to PNG, and formats that browsers can’t read at all.
It runs ImageMagick, the open-source image toolkit used by servers and designers worldwide, compiled to run inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
How to use it

Camera RAW and HEIC are read-only: browsers can’t create those formats, and there’s rarely a reason to.
Choosing an output format
- JPG for photos you’ll share, upload or print
- PNG for graphics, screenshots and anything needing transparency or a lossless copy
- WebP or AVIF for small, high-quality images on websites
- TIFF for print shops and archiving
- ICO for favicons and Windows icons
- GIF and BMP only when a specific program requires them
What changes in conversion
Images are converted at full size and turned upright using their orientation tags. Hidden metadata such as camera details and GPS location is removed. Colours are converted to standard 8-bit RGB, which suits screens and the web. JPG has no transparency, so see-through areas get a white background.

Every file is converted on your device. That makes this converter safe for client work, scans and personal photos, and it has no daily limit.

Why does the first conversion take a few seconds?
This converter uses ImageMagick compiled for the browser, about 15 MB, which loads once and is then cached. For everyday JPG, PNG and WebP jobs, the dedicated converters start instantly.
What happens with multi-page or animated files?
The first page or frame is converted, or the composite image for Photoshop files. To keep every page of a TIFF, use TIFF to PDF.
